Fassa Valley is a paradise for skiers of the Dolomites, with more than 200 km ski slopes among the moutain groups of Sella, Catinaccio Rosengarten and Langkofel. The ski area Fassa Valley - Kareer connects the various villages of the valley, among them Canazei, Campitello di Fassa, Mazzin and Pozza di Fassa. The ski slopes are for everybody, for beginners as well as for experts. They wind along conifer forests, majestic peaks, mountain huts and refuges. The longest slopes are more than 10 km long, for example the "Grande Guerra" (Big War), from Passo Costalunga to Pozza di Fassa.

For prople who love freeriding and skiing in the fresh snow, there are mani off-piste options, above all on the Seiser Alm and San Pellegrino Pass. Snowboarders can find man modern snowparks. in Winter, there is a ski bus service which connects the various villages to the ski slopes. Forhtermore, the cable car to Pian Frataces, 2081 m above sea level, starts from Canayei: from there, you can enjoy an amazing view of the Sella Group.
